Vega is a pre-seed enterprise SaaS company in the aerospace and defense sector. We provide spectrum orchestration software to satellite operators, helping them forecast interference and exchange spectrum. Customers include commercial satellite operators, civil agencies and regulators, and the defense community.

The role

You'll work across the entire stack — from visualizations and report generation to background job processing and API integrations.

What you'll do

• Mature Vega's RESTful API and web app for satellite data and analysis results
• Optimize and improve the core analysis pipeline and storage
• Improve data source integration and refinement processes
• Support and maintain a robust platform for internal operations

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Familiarity with AI tools (Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.)
• Demonstrable software development experience or projects
• Strong software engineering fundamentals (testing, version control, code review)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of features end-to-end

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience in full-stack web development
• Experience with Hotwire (Turbo, Stimulus) or similar reactive frameworks
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and reactive patterns
• Understanding of RESTful API design and best practices
• Background in geospatial applications or mapping
• Familiarity with gRPC or other RPC frameworks
• Interest in aerospace, satellites, or telecommunications
